VOX™ water evaporation technology helps oil & gas and other industries manage produced water, returning it to water cycle
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, SEPT. 24, 2024 — Texas-based private investment firm Woven Integration announces its investment Energy Water Solutions (EWS), a leading water technology company that specializes in lowering water management costs.
The move adds to Woven Integration’s growing investment portfolio in the energy and technology industries.
“We are enthusiastic about the potential of EWS’s technology for this market,” says Russell Hillenburg, Founding Partner of Woven Integration. “Their approach offers a simple and unique solution to the produced water problem in the oil and gas industry.”
Water handling is one of the biggest environmental and cost challenges faced by the oil and gas sector today. A byproduct of extraction, oil and gas companies must treat, recycle or dispose of produced water safely, which often involves transport, reinjection or other methods, leading to environmental factors and rising costs. EWS’s VOX™ (vaporization in a box) technology addresses these pain points by offering on-site water evaporation in modular, mobile and scalable units. The technology can reduce produced and flowback water volumes up to 90%.
“With our deep-seated experience in the energy industry and EWS’s passion for problem solving, we’re excited to see demand for this technology grow,” says Heather Bennett, Founding Partner of Woven Integration. “We look forward to helping bring their innovative approach to more customers in the near future.”
Woven Integration will have a seat on the EWS Board, as well as advise on customer service and marketing strategy for the company, among other oversight responsibilities. With support from Woven Integration, EWS plans to expand and optimize the VOXTM product line, designing and refining larger units to fit the needs of customers of all sizes.
“We are excited to partner with Woven Integration to accelerate our company, advance our technology, and improve the reliability of our VOX units,” says Mike Skrbich, CEO of Energy Water Solutions. “Their investment and expertise will help us scale faster and meet the growing demand for innovative water management solutions in the oil and gas industry.”
